Prof. David BASSIR 🏛︎︎Sino-French Institute, Dongguan University of Technology, China Prof Bio: David BASSIR is a Professor at the French University of Technology and Senior Researcher at Centre Borelli (UMR-CNRS), University of Paris-Saclay, ENS-Cachan, France. He holds a Master and a PhD degree in structural optimization from the University of Franche-Comte (France), with the most honorable mention. Previously, he was the Dean of the University of Technology (IUT) at the University of Lorraine (France), Consult for Science and Technology at the French Embassy in China, General Director of Research at the ESTP-ENSAM (Paris) and Spacecraft engineer at GECI Technology in different Space Agencies such as Arianespace (France) and Matra Marconi Space (Astrium Group). He joined the French University of Technology as associate professor in 2001 and then was qualified as Full professor in 2009. Prof. Bassir holds the Doctor Honoris Causa title and was invited as visiting professor in top universities and institutes such as (TUDelft (NL), Shanghai Jiaotong (Shanghai), Northwestern Polytechnical University (Xian), University of Oviedo (Spain), Chinese Academy of Sciences (Guangzhou), … etc). He has published over 150 papers in journals, books and conference proceedings, including more than 50 Sci. journals. He also supervised over 15 Ph.D. and 50 Master degrees. Most of his students have won best paper awards at conferences. And all of them are now either full professors in high ranked universities or employees at well-known companies. Prof. Bassir serves as chairman or active member of various expert committees in many international organizations and highly esteemed scientific societies. He is also acting as editor-in-chief and guest editors in different journals. Since 2012, he has been the president of the well-recognized Sino-French Association for Sciences and Technology. Prof.Ziad MOUMNI 🏛︎︎ENSTA-Paris, France / Shanghai Jiaotong University, China Prof Bio: Ziad MOUMNI is Professor of mechanical engineering, deputy head of the Department of Mechanics, leader of the research group “matériaux et structures” (MS) and head of the “Pôle transport” at ENSTA ParisTech. He holds a Ph.D in non-linear mechanics (LMS Ecole polytechnique, 1995) and an HDR « habilitation à diriger les recherches » in engineering sciences from the university Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris 6 (2009). His research fields deal with the theoretical and numerical modeling of the behavior, fatigue and fracture of non-linear materials and structures presenting multi-physics and thermo-mechanical coupling, namely smart materials and structures. In 2000, he created the research group MS which is today internationally recognized for its activities in the field of smart materials and structures. He is involved in many industrial applications in the field of transportation and energy (PSA, SNCF, CNES, CEA, EDF, SNECMA, Renault). Prof.Yousif Abdalla Abakar Suliman 🏛︎︎University of Nottingham Malaysia, Malaysia Prof Bio: Professor Yousif Abdalla Abakar Suliman is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of Renewable Energy and Thermofluids, with over 35 years of experience across Malaysia, Sudan, and international collaborations. He currently holds the position of Honorary Professor at the University of Nottingham, following his retirement as Full Professor from the University of Nottingham Malaysia, where he served with distinction from 2006 to 2026. In addition to his academic emeritus role, Professor Yousif serves as Senior Consultant and Technical Advisor at Fotesvo® Climate Control Technologies and Airemeco® Integrative Ambient Air Control, where he applies his extensive expertise to advancing sustainable climate control solutions. Professor Yousif's academic journey began with a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Khartoum (1987), followed by an MSc from the same institution (1995), and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the International Islamic University Malaysia (2005). He also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education from the University of Nottingham (2016), reflecting his lifelong commitment to pedagogical excellence. Throughout his career, Professor Yousif has made significant contributions to research in thermoacoustic energy conversion, biomass pyrolysis, heat transfer enhancement, and sustainable energy systems. His prolific research output includes over 130 journal publications, with his work appearing in high-impact journals such as International Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer, Applied Thermal Engineering, and the Journal of Cleaner Production. He has successfully supervised more than 20 PhD candidates to completion and secured substantial research funding exceeding RM 800,000 from Malaysian government agencies including MOSTI and the Ministry of Higher Education. Professor Yousif's scholarly contributions have been recognised through numerous awards, including the Teaching Excellence Award (2022), External Engagement Award (2020), and Gold Research Award (2018) from the University of Nottingham Malaysia. His innovative work has also earned Bronze Medals at the Geneva Exhibition of Inventions (2004) and IENA Nuremberg (2006). Beyond research and teaching, Professor Yousif has played pivotal roles in quality assurance and academic governance, leading external validation panels at Bahrain Polytechnic and serving as external examiner for multiple Malaysian universities. He established the SCORE Project Centre at the Malaysia campus, creating a successful research cluster that fostered international collaborations with institutions in China, Nigeria, Sudan, and across Malaysia. Angelos A. Amanatiadis 🏛︎︎Democritus University of Thrace, Greece Assoc. Prof Bio: Angelos Amanatiadis received his Diploma and his Ph.D. (Hons.) from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, DUTH, Greece, in 2004 and 2009, respectively. His research lies at the intersection of autonomous robotic systems, computer vision, machine learning, and real-time embedded systems. He has received the Stavros Niarchos Award for Promising Young Scientists and a State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) Postdoc scholarship. He is a Senior member of the IEEE and awarded as one of the Transactions “Outstanding Reviewers” in appreciation of outstanding service to the IEEE Society. His published work includes 3 journal special issues as guest editor, 35 papers in refereed international journals, 3 chapters in books and over 50 papers in international conference proceedings. Ηe holds one patent and has been the technical manager of several European and National R&D projects. He is Associate Editor of the International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems and HardwareX Journal and has been member of the program/organizing committee of more than 10 international conferences. He is a member of Scientific Council of National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED), major in Mechanics – Engineering (terms of 2020 – 2022; 2022 – 2024; 2025 – 2027). He was granted the research fund with title “Bualuang ASEAN Chair Professor” (2022–2024) of Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University, Thailand.
