The 2025 International Conference on Intelligent Manufacturing, Structural Health Monitoring, and Digital Twin (ICSSD 2025) Successfully Concluded!

From June 26 to 28, 2025, the 2025 International Conference on Intelligent Manufacturing, Structural Health Monitoring, and Digital Twin (ICSSD 2025) was grandly held in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, China. The conference achieved great success.

At the opening ceremony, Prof. David BASSIR, Director of the Smart Structural Health Monitoring and Control Laboratory (SSHMC) and President of Sino-French Association for Science &Technology; Prof.Yu ZHENG, Vice President of Dongguan University of Technology; and Prof. Weihong ZHANG from Northwestern Polytechnical University deliveredwelcome speeches, warmly welcoming all attending scholars.

A special signingceremony was arranged during the conference, during which the Smart Structural Health Monitoring and Control Laboratory(SSHMC) officially signed a cooperation agreement with the Amorphous Motor Engineering Center. Both parties reached a consensus on jointly establishing a disciplinary research platform. Representatives from both sides completed the signing ceremony on site, marking the beginning of in-depth collaboration to jointly promote the construction and development of the research platform.

The conference specially invited renowned experts and professors from both home and abroad to deliver keynotespeeches. Prof. Philippe FOURNIER-VIGER from Shenzhen University; Prof. Ziad MOUMNI, jointly appointed by the ENSTA-Paris and Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Prof. David BASSIR from Dongguan University of Technology; Prof.Mohammad TALHA from Indian Institute of Technology Mandi; and Prof. Abel Cherouat from the University of Technology of Troyes, five authoritative scholars, delivered in-depth reports centered on the conference’s core topics. These high-quality presentations were rich in content and featured novel perspectives, sparking lively discussions on-site, with many scholars actively engaging in interactions and creating a vibrant atmosphere for exchange.

During the invitedspeech sessions, Dr. Alexandre VU from the University of Technology of Compiègne; Prof. Abdelkhalak El Hami from INSA Rouen; Assoc. Prof. Ata Jahangir Moshayedi from Jiangxi University of Science and Technology; and Dr. Angelos A. Amanatiadis from Democritus University of Thrace successively presented excellent academic reports focusing on the conference theme. The four experts combined concise content with insights from their respective research fields, offering enlightening academic perspectives to the attendees.

Furthermore, young scholars from Université de Technologie de Belfort-Montbéliard, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Henan Polytechnic University, Guangdong University of Technology, and many other universities and research institutions at home and abroad shared their innovative research findings through oral presentations and poster sessions. Their unique viewpoints and novel methodologies showcased the vigor and innovation of young talents in the field, injecting fresh intellectual energy into the conference.
